Reading a wheel
Two numbers tell you most of it. Diameter: smaller wheels accelerate quicker and sit lower for technical street; bigger wheels hold speed for transition and rough ground. Durometer: 99a is the do-everything street standard - hard enough to slide, forgiving enough to roll through imperfect pavement.
Fresh wheels change a setup more than most people expect - if yours have coned or flat-spotted, this is the cheapest upgrade in skateboarding. Pair them with a fresh deck or browse the rest of the hardware. Order direct or through your local shop.
